In this episode we welcome Grace to the studio. Grace tells us about her unique upbringing growing up in a town where her community knew of her family and the pressures she experienced from such a situation. She shares about her pivotal college years, where she found space to finally be her authentic self as well as meeting her future husband. We discuss how her husband became a stable force in her life and taught her how to trust again. We learn about her experience working with the elderly and children as a speech pathologist, where we get insight into various strategies used to improve memory, following instructions and managing ADHD. Grace opens up about her miscarriage and we reflect on how GenZ is changing the narrative surrounding miscarriage and child loss. She then shares with us the joy and relief of becoming a mother to her beautiful daughter, and touches on her own postpartum experience in addition to reflecting on the importance on respecting a woman’s decision on whether she’s going to be a stay-at-home mom or return to the workforce.
